We’ve got news from the data centre, more from procurement platforms and some from the world of feminist business.

The Toronto-based Aptum is changing. The company is selling its Canadian colocation business to eStruxture.

“We are excited to complete the sale of our Canadian colocation business. Today’s announcement showcases our commitment to grow and enhance our global hybrid multi-cloud managed services offering both off and on premises,” said Susan Bowen, President and CEO of Aptum Technologies. “This focused approach has helped us grow our customer base, as the onset of the global pandemic accelerated enterprise cloud adoption.”

Mirakl and PunchOut2Go have announced a strategic partnership to pair PunchOut2Go’s eProcurement and B2B automation with Mirakl’s enterprise marketplace technology. Through the pairing, B2B marketplace operators can incorporate punchout catalog functionality into Mirakl-powered Marketplaces to integrate eProcurement and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.

“The B2B enterprise marketplace opportunity is nearly boundless, but for these marketplaces to deliver on their promise, they have to be aligned to the way that B2B buyers and sellers operate today,” said Adrien Nussenbaum, co-founder and U.S. CEO, Mirakl. “This partnership with PunchOut2Go represents one of the essential investments that Mirakl will make in 2021 as we continue to develop the industry’s best and most advanced marketplace solution for B2B organizations.”

As we await the end of the pandemic-created Shecession, The Prosperity Project is launching an awareness campaign for ensuring women are supported and empowered in Canada’s economic recovery.

The its Not Complicated campaign features a series of built around idioms like “It’s not rocket science,” “It’s not brain surgery” and “It’s not nuclear engineering” that reference stereotypically male careers.

“We have a collective responsibility to empower and encourage women to strive for successful careers in all fields. Female rocket scientists – or brain surgeons, nuclear engineers, precision welders or CFOs – should no longer be an anomaly or a rare exception,” said Pamela Jeffery, founder of The Prosperity Project. The organization created to ensure Canadian women are not left behind in the COVID-19 pandemic recovery.
