According to the official company statement, the company claimed that the increase in prices is due to rising input costs and the price hikes are effective starting today, i.e. 23 April 2022.

The current hike comes just two months after Tata Motors raised the prices of its passenger vehicles by up to 0.9% in January. In March 2022, the auto major announced that it will increase the prices of its commercial vehicles range by 2-2.5%, depending upon individual models and variants, starting April 1.
Earlier this month, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility hinted at the price hike due to a consistent increase in commodity, semiconductor, steel and precious metals prices. “We will go for a price increase in the coming four weeks.”
The homegrown carmaker’s portfolio consists of seven ICE cars, namely Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Nexon, Harrier, and Safari, along with the two EVs – Nexon EV and Tigor EV.
