Star India won the Brand of the Year award gold at the Shark Awards 2021. Creativeland Digital Technologies bagged the gold under the Agency of the Year category.

The gold for Marketer of the year went to Karan Shroff, partner and chief marketing officer, Unacademy.

Star India also bagged gold under the Product Re-launch Campaign category for IPL 2020 – Ek Saath Waali Baat campaign.

The winners of the third edition of Shark Awards were announced virtually following a day-long Brand World Summit. A total of 85 awards were presented under different sub-categories, which were divided in three broad categories: Campaign, Medium & Sector-specific Categories; Sector-specific Categories and the Jury Recommendation/Special Categories.

Star India bagged another gold for IPL 2020 – Ek Saath Waali Baat campaign under the Use of TV category. It also won a gold under the Media & Entertainment category for the same campaign.

The gold for Lifetime Achievement was received by Harsh Mariwala, founder and chairman, Marico.

The Campaign of the Year gold went to the Beat Heart Failure campaign by Novartis and The Times of India and Ogilvy and Starcom and JWT. Two silvers were also awarded under this category. Switch Off campaign from vivo India and Archetype; Airtel Safe Pay campaign by Airtel Payments Bank and Taproot Dentsu and Leo Burnett won silver each.

The Airtel Safe Pay campaign also won the gold under the Product Launch Campaign category.

Shark Awards aim to recognise excellent marketing work across industries in the past year and the awards rest on the careful and meticulous scrutiny of campaigns by marketing experts, who assess entries on parameters such as talent, creativity, relevance and execution.

Varun Berry, managing director, Britannia Industries, was the jury chair for 2021 edition of the prestigious industry awards.

A total of 27 gold, 33 silver and 25 bronze were announced this year.

The gold under the B2B Campaign category was bagged by Microsoft India and Timeus Interactive Services for their The New Next campaign. In the same category, Bluehost India for its Powering the Creators campaign; and inresto by dineout for Enable #SafeToEatOut campaign received silver and bronze respectively.

In the B2C Campaign category, Cinthol: Original – Recommended by Doctors campaign by Cinthol and CreativeLand Asia was conferred gold. In this category, two silvers were announced. One was grabbed by Kellogg’s India and Ogilvy and Ordinary and Foxymoron and Mindshare for Kam Mein Zyada – Marketing Kelloggs in Covid 19 campaign; and the other one was won by Never Settle. Never Compromise. campaign by Tata Tea Gemini and MullenLowe Lintas Group.

MX Player and Axe and Mindshare received gold under the Branded Content Campaign category for The Right Click campaign. In the same category, another gold went to Center fresh and Ogilvy India for the Keep It Fresh campaign. Truecaller and Wirality Media won silver in this category for the Call Reason Stories campaign.

In the Product Re-launch Campaign category, ABHI Karo campaign by Aditya Birla Health Insurance bagged silver and the bronze went to Cipladine – Skin Ka 1st Aid campaign by Cipla Health and Taproot Dentsu.

Hershey India and Interactive Avenues won a gold for Hershey’s Happy at Home campaign under the Content Marketing Campaign category. In the category, silver was received by Doublemint Freshtake Season 1 campaign (Doublemint Mars Wrigley India and BBDO India and Songfest India); and Making people fall in love with Microsoft, one story at a time campaign by Microsoft India and Edelman India bagged bronze.

Mukul Madhav Foundation and Schbang bagged gold for Jam The Trafficking campaign under the Small Budget Marketing Campaign category.

Burger King India and FoxyMoron Digital Marketing won gold under the Tech Enabled Campaign for #GrilledBy2020 campaign.

In the Campaign Targeting Millennials category, Center fresh and Ogilvy India were conferred a gold for Keep It Fresh campaign.

In the CSR Campaign category, two gold awards were announced. One went to Marico’s Nihar Shanti Amla and BBH India and LeapForWord for the Re-teach The Teachers campaign; and the other one was awarded to The Himalaya Drug Company and Motivator, Bangalore for the Muskaan campaign.

Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance bagged gold under the Marketing Campaign during Covid 19 category for its #SavingstoLifeGoals campaign. In this category, two bronze winners were announced. Budweiser India and draftLine and Saatchi & Saatchi for Stronger Together – Ads for Good campaign; and Gulf Oil Lubricants India and DDB Mudra Group for Gulf Superfleet SurakshaBandhan – Season 2 campaign, were the winners.

The Sounds of India: Co-creating The MG Anthem with Community of Artists campaign by MG Motor India and Cheil India bagged gold under the Use of Digital / Social Media category.

boAt Smart watch campaign by boAt Lifestyle and Flipkart Ads bagged gold under the Use of Mobile category.

In the Auto category, Gulf Oil Lubricants and DDB Mudra Group also received gold for Gulf Superfleet SurakshaBandhan – Season 2 campaign. In this category two silver winners were also announced. Mahindra & Mahindra and TATA Motors and Ottoedge Services LLP won one silver each for the Mahindra Treo Zor and Tata Motors Nexon EV Anniversary Campaign respectively.

In the Retail – Fashion, Beauty & Lifestyle category, #TaiyaarHokarAaiye campaign by Manyavar and Shreyansh Innovations won a gold.

HERSHE Campaign by Hershey India bagged a bronze in the FMCG – Food & Beverages category. Happydent and Grapes Digital also received bronze under this category for Your Post Meal Companion campaign.
