The news comes from all B2B sectors this Friday. We’re seeing a commitment to business ethics, investments in miniaturization of electronics applications, and new categories for the Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPAs).

The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) has awarded the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation the CIPS corporate ethics mark. The company’s Global Sourcing & Procurement staff completed ethics training and passed a test in global fraud, corruption, bribery and environmental concerns in procurement and supply chain management.

The CIPS Ethical Procurement and Supply eLearning and Test has been updated to provide guidance for organizations that want to stay ahead of industry standards and best practices. The program and test enable individuals and organizations to hone their skills and knowledge, and ultimately demonstrate their commitment to ethical practice.

“During such turbulent times in the world, the Dun & Bradstreet Global Sourcing & Procurement team was committed to keeping ethics at the heart of what they do by testing their knowledge and competence, and ultimately achieving the ethics mark,” CIPS Americas Vice President Bill Michels said. “Global sourcing and procurement organizations with high standards are a draw to investors, stakeholders and staff who want to work for companies that actively invest in their talent and pursue ethical practices when managing their supply chain.”

Henkel Adhesive Technologies has invested in ioTech, a UK-based start-up with an R&D footprint in Israel. ioTech has developed a Continuous Laser Assisted Deposition (C.L.A.D.) technology that enables the further miniaturization of a variety of applications in the electronics industry. Henkel Adhesive Technologies is a materials supplier for the electronics assembly and semi-conductor packaging industries.

“We are scouting for novel and scalable technologies complementing our existing portfolio in adhesives, sealants and functional coatings,” said Paolo Bavaj, Head of Corporate Venturing, Adhesive Technologies. “Electronics is among our core markets where we are supporting our broad customer base to strive with innovative solutions enabling higher performances, new functionalities and improved efficiency. We are convinced that ioTech’s technology will perfectly complement our existing materials portfolio, drive the further miniaturization in the industry and provide value to our customers. We also aim, in collaboration with ioTech, to unlock further opportunities for innovative mass-manufacturing applications across Henkel´s large customer base.”
