Paula Salvatore has been appointed Vice President of Client Relations and Studio Marketing at Universal Music Group.

In this newly created role, UMG says that Salvatore will oversee client relations, booking and studio marketing across the company’s US commercial recording studios.

Salvatore will remain based in Los Angeles and report to Patrick Kraus, Senior Vice President of Recording Studios and Archive Management.

The exec will also work with the studio executive team on the development and maintenance of UMG’s global Recording Studios strategy.

For over 30 years Salvatore has served as Vice President of Studio Administration and Sales at Capitol Studios, overseeing its operations since 1990.

The studio veteran played a key part in recording sessions for artists such as James Taylor and Tony Bennett.

Salvatore also worked alongside Grammy icon Al Schmitt, Paul McCartney, Diana Krall, Natalie Cole, Barbara Streisand and Frank Sinatra.

Prior to her tenure at Capitol Studios, Salvatore managed Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, California.
